Hallow’s End is doing my head in just a little bit. My Priest got herself the title 2 years ago, but I’m still after the mount and the collect all of the masks achievement. Ack.

Masks & Things

A Mask For All Occasions I’m struggling with because, whilst I started the achievement 2 years ago, last year I was doing it on my Hunter. Thankfully, I only need 6 more masks and the addition of masks to the Loot-Filled Pumpkins has helped massively, but I’m constantly getting wands in my Treat Bags which I really can’t be arsed to sell the charges of. I know I have a potential 600g sitting there (did I mention I had a lot of wands?), but I can’t be bothered to charge people 10g a wand charge, plus it feels a little mean to charge for it. I only need 6 more masks by 11pm on Saturday, so touch wood (though I know full well I’ll only need 3 more by then, sod’s law, etc.).

Flying Horsies

The Headless Horseman’s flying horsie mount is a funny one. We’ve been actively farming this since it was added to the loot table, 2 or 3 years ago ((pretty sure it was 2, can remember farming the plate helm before the mount was available as a drop)), and haven’t seen it drop once – yet everybody else seems to have it! I’ve been camping the rares in Scholazar on my Hunter since she gained a heck of a lot more stable space because I’ve always wanted to tame them, just haven’t had the space. The other day, I popped onto Fae, flew around a bit, and spotted Loque’Nahak. Nobody was around luckily and I tamed it, which I was ecstatic with. So ecstatic, in fact, that I decided I’d pop in and do a Horseman kill on her, just to get Loque (who still needs naming) a little bit of experience, and a couple of justice points – what’s the worst that can happen?

Anyway, I’d say ‘disappointment aside’, because I got this mount I’d really like on an alt I don’t even play much anymore, but I’m not disappointed at all. I finally have the mount, just in the wrong place and hey, Draenei don’t look utterly ridiculous on it which is always a bonus.

Put Out The Fires

This morning, I heard that there’s a chance you can get a Loot-Filled Pumpkin from the Wrapped Gift thingy, which you can get from the pumpkin in low level towns after completing the Put Out The Fires quest. I thought I’d pop over to Brill and try it out, admittedly, I was thinking about the extra masks, but of course, it’s another chance at the almost-elusive mount of much shininess. There was nobody there, but I thought I’d give it a go anyway. If I succeeded, great, if I failed, oh well, I could wait until later on and nudge some people into helping – I’m sure I’m not the only one interested in an extra Loot-Filled Pumpkin after all.

About halfway through my mad running back and forth between a bucket and the building, a Rogue showed up, we failed but got talking and decided to try again but with a different method: he stood there tossing the buckets at the building, while I tossed the buckets at him, which I wasn’t even aware you could do! It was quite effective, and we tried it a few times and came pretty close to completing it with 2 people, but alas, it wasn’t quite enough. I’d say this method would definitely work with 3 or 4 people. In fact, you can do it the normal way ((randomly running between the burning buildings and the bucket as opposed to being particularly tactical)) with a minimum of 4 people – 3 would be pushing it for time a bit too much.

Hopefully, by the end of the week, I’ll have myself a new mount and 20 achievement points.

Finally, I’d like to remind you guys to please update any links or bookmarks you may have. I’m no longer using the name Lazy Sniper, nor the old URL (because I don’t have the money to pay £60 to get my URL off the crappy company who wanted to charge me £60). I decided it was time to change the name, and Jaedia’s Menagerie was the one that stood out the most for me, as I am a big pet and mount collecting fiend. I needed a new URL because lazy-sniper.com was locked, so if you would kindly begin using: http://dragonsandwhimsy.jaedia.net that would be lovely. Thank you!
