I don’t really have anything for First Impressions Friday this week, but I thought I’d give the Friday hops a go before we head downstairs for Chinese food and Torchwood.

What do I do when I are not reading?
Well, my other main hobby is gaming. I love MMORPGs, and single player RPGs. I’m primarily a World of Warcraft player but I have tried other MMOs (Age of Conan, LotRO, Aion, Guild Wars, Rift) and I’m really really looking forward to Guild Wars 2 because it looks so fantastic!! I wouldn’t mind reading the books to get a hold of the game’s lore beforehand but shh, this is about not reading so.
I also do normal boring things such as watching tv, going to the cinema, walking. And on a Saturday afternoon and Monday morning I volunteer in a local charity shop which is hell on my bookshelf space but I’m currently unemployed so it’s something.

How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?
I’m actually planning to do a little feature on this, but in a nutshell I buy them. I enter as many giveaways as I can (if the books interest me of course) and I have received a couple of books for review from Quirk publishing, but I’m still pretty self sufficient with books. I’m bad and don’t use the library but that’s mostly, these days, because I have so many to read on my bookshelf already. I don’t buy from independent or large chain book shops such as Waterstones, Borders, because I simply can’t afford it. As mentioned above, I am unemployed. But I do make great use of charity shops, Amazon, and The Works.
