So after I put out my plea for help the other day ((which by the way, I’m still open for any help you may be able to give)), I received an email from Angelya. I’ve known her for.. huh.. I’m not sure, perhaps a year and a half? I can’t remember when your blogoversary is at the moment, but anyway we know each other through the World of Warcraft blogging and twitter community and she has kindly offered to help me out with reviews where she can. I am very happy for the help and she is a lovely person, and I’m going to let her introduce herself.

Hi, I’m Angelya. I live on the other side of the world from Hannah, but one thing we do have in common is a love of reading.

My favourite stories are high fantasy and have been ever since I was introduced to The Hobbit at a very young age. I’ll happily pick up young adult, historical or any other kind of fiction recommended to me and my own book collection is a bit of a mixture of genres, but mostly features fantasy such as Discworld, Katherine Kerr and Robin Hobb.

At the moment I’m on maternity leave, spending time at home with my little son, currently five months old. You’d think that would give me a lot of time for reading but in fact, it doesn’t. The first couple of months after he was born, most of the time when he was asleep I was trying to do the same. Lately he’s been sleeping for longer and at more regular times, so I get a few hours here and there to do housework (boooring!), read or play games (my other hobby!).

There’s nothing nicer than curling up on my sofa with a cup of tea and escaping into another world with a good book. I don’t yet have an eReader so I’m mostly a real paper book kind of gal. I do have a few books on my smart phone, but I find the screen a bit small and headachey to stare at for too long. Give me a second-hand bookstore and I’m in heaven!

I look forward to sharing some of my reading adventures with you on Once Upon A Time! You can catch up with me on Twitter or on Goodreads.

We haven’t set up a schedule or anything scary like that, I keep those in my brain to keep myself on track (I’m a list person – I’m terrible without lists), but it’s always nice to know a tiny bit about the people behind the posts. 🙂 Please make her feel welcome!

PS. My Bout of Books wrap-up post will be going up later on. I haven’t forgotten it, I’m just out volunteering in the charity shop Monday mornings.
