On My Wishlist really does what it says on the tin. It’s a way for me to highlight books that I have my eye on which have made their way onto my wishlist but I can’t quite get my hands on them for the time being. I’m constantly adding to my wishlist so I doubt I’ll ever manage to buy and read everything on there but I can at least highlight a few. Started by Book Chick City.

Story Teller: The Life of Roald Dahl by Donald Sturrock

Genre: Biography

Just look at that cover! Isn’t it perfect? That contrast between the normal life and the colourful imagination surrounding it. It’s beautiful. Roald Dahl was a part of my childhood, as I can only imagine he is a part of everybody’s, and not necessarily just because of the books which I admit I only read a couple, but because of the films they inspired ((Just saying that I get ‘Pure Imagination’ in my head, which really is the perfect song for the man himself.)), and the magnificent imagination that made it all happen. Just a few weeks ago I was lamenting the lack of interesting people to read biographies of.. but this one has to be a must read. I can’t not own this book!

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

Genre: Fantasy

I just adore these shiny new covers. The design is beautiful, and I’m a sucker for coloured page edges. I still haven’t read Eragon, let alone the others, so I’m pretty desperately pining for the trilogy in these gorgeous covers, and I might have to blame Elle from The Book Memoirs for bringing them to my attention! Or is that thank? 😉 But seriously, I’d love to get my hands on the ‘trilogy’ in this design very much. ((*pine*))
